GOOD NIGHT PROJECT GIVES BACK
Bringing Comfort to the Community
WHAT WE DO
The Good Night Project, located in Kanata, Ontario, is an organization dedicated to helping children who seek Emergency housing in the Ottawa area. With the support of our volunteers and partners, we strive to improve the lives of children who need help within our community.
Our Objective:
To provide Good Night Packages, free of charge, to homeless children from birth to teen who need the childhood essentials to feel secure, cozy, ready to learn, and significant. Each Good Night Package contains a new security blanket, an age-appropriate book, and a stuffed buddy -- all nestled inside a new tote bag.
Every child who receives one of our Good Night Packages leaves the shelter owning a book which
encourages reading, development of communication skills and family bonding; a soft blanket which can be cuddled; and a stuffed
animal which can become a cherished friend.
We need your help! We believe that by working together as a community we can achieve more than we can on our own. Contact us to see what you can do to bring about positive change.

DONATIONS
One of our goals is to ensure that the most vulnerable and at-risk groups in the greater Ottawa area are safe and have their basic needs taken care of. With your generous donations and volunteering efforts, you have the capacity to help us in our endeavour. We gratefully accept new or gently read children & teen books, new blankets (handmade or purchased), and new stuffed buddies. Monetary donations are always welcome as well! Contact us to learn more.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
One of the reasons our family started the Good Night Project in 2014 was that it was a simple way for our sons to give back to our community. The boys have helped in every step of the project: from shopping for new books, stuffed friends & blankets, to choosing what book and plush pal will make the best combination in the packages. Now that they are older, our sons also help with deliveries to Chrysalis House and Interval House. See how you and your family can help by contacting us below.
THE UNDIES PROJECT
Another focus of the Good Night Project is something we call 'The Undies Project'. It's hard for most of us to imagine, but many children and teens who seek emergency shelter in our community don't have clothing basics like underwear and pyjamas. This lack of the basics can affect everything from self-esteem to performance in school. Consider donating the clothing essentials that every child needs to have a good day and a good night.
